
Introducing E350: Ultra-Compact Industrial PCs with Fanless and Active Cooling

King Young is introducing the Sumicom E350 Series, a new ultra-compact industrial PC family with a 109 × 153 mm footprint. The series includes the active-cooled E350 and the fanless E350F, giving system designers two cooling and processor options in nearly identical compact enclosures.
The E350 Series brings a desktop-class Intel Q670E platform with socketed LGA1700 processors and replaceable DDR5 SODIMM memory to an ultra-compact 109 × 153 mm footprint. Dual 2.5GbE, RS-232, DisplayPort, USB 3.2, and M.2 expansion provide practical industrial connectivity for projects with much less installation space than a conventional desktop or rackmount computer.
Two Ultra-Compact Industrial PCs, One 109 × 153 mm Footprint

The active-cooled E350 measures 109 × 153 × 65 mm. It supports selected Intel Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, and Core i5 LGA1700 processors.
The E350 processor options include:
- Intel Celeron G6900, G6900E, and G6900TE
- Intel Pentium G7400, G7400E, and G7400TE
- Intel Core i3-12100, 12100T, and 12100TE
- Intel Core i5-14400T and 14400TE
Its active cooling system uses a heatsink and one fan, providing a compact option for projects that need more processor choice than a low-power Celeron-only configuration.

The fanless E350F measures 109 × 153 × 64 mm. It supports Intel Alder Lake S Celeron low-power processors in the LGA1700 package and uses a passive heatsink without a cooling fan.
E350F is intended for applications where fanless operation and a low-power processor configuration take priority. With the same footprint and nearly the same height as E350, it gives integrators a straightforward fanless alternative without changing the overall installation space.

Industrial I/O on the Front and Rear Panels
Both E350 and E350F provide the same core industrial connectivity:
- 2 × 2.5GbE RJ45: one on the front panel and one on the rear panel
- 2 × RS-232: for serial equipment and established industrial interfaces
- 4 × USB 3.2: two on the front panel and two on the rear panel
- 2 × DisplayPort: for embedded displays, operator interfaces, or dual-display installations
- Audio input and output: front-panel microphone and headphone connections
Distributing the two Ethernet ports between the front and rear panels gives equipment designers more flexibility when routing local equipment and upstream network connections.
DDR5 Memory and Three Types of M.2 Expansion
The E350 Series uses the Intel Q670E chipset and supports one DDR5-4800 non-ECC SODIMM with a total memory capacity of up to 32 GB.
Because the Intel LGA1700 processor is socketed and the DDR5 memory is installed as a replaceable SODIMM, OEMs can adjust processor performance and memory capacity within each model's supported configurations while keeping the same compact platform. This makes it easier to qualify one common system architecture for multiple product tiers and applications, helping reduce repeated integration and certification work.
Three M.2 positions separate storage, wireless, and cellular functions:
- 1 × M.2 M-Key 2280: PCIe 3.0 x4 for an NVMe SSD
- 1 × M.2 E-Key 2230: PCIe 3.0 x1 and USB 2.0 for a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module
- 1 × M.2 B-Key 3042/3052: USB 3.2 for a cellular module
This arrangement lets system integrators add local NVMe storage, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and cellular connectivity without using one slot for multiple competing functions.
Designed for Space-Constrained Industrial and Embedded Systems
The combination of compact dimensions, serial I/O, dual networking, display outputs, and M.2 expansion makes the E350 Series a candidate for projects such as:
- Industrial automation and equipment controllers
- Edge computing and industrial IoT gateways
- Kiosks and self-service equipment
- Embedded display and operator-interface systems
- Network-connected embedded devices
- Shipboard and marine equipment, including onboard monitoring, control, display, and gateway systems with limited enclosure space
- Vehicle-mounted and transportation systems for service vehicles, mobile machinery, fleet equipment, and other space-constrained vehicle installations
The final configuration should be selected according to processor workload, airflow, ambient temperature, storage, modem, input power, mounting, vibration conditions, and software requirements.
E350 or E300: Which Series Should You Start With?
Choose the E350 Series when the first priority is the smallest possible footprint with essential industrial I/O. Projects that require more M.2 storage, four 2.5GbE ports, four display outputs, eight USB ports, or a PCIe add-in card should also consider the larger and more modular E300 Series.
